Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Ground Up Pitching Performance, LLC ("Ground Up," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website, application, and remote training services (the "Services"). Because we work with athletes who may be minors, we have written this to explain clearly what we collect from and about athletes and how parents and guardians are involved.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you and your coach provide, and some information automatically, including:
- Account and contact information — name, email address, phone number, and login credentials.
- Athlete profile information — date of birth, age, competition level, and background provided during enrollment.
- Training and performance data — assigned programming, completed work, logged sets/reps/loads, and performance notes.
- Self-reported health information — daily check-in data such as sleep, soreness, arm soreness, energy, injuries, and outside throwing volume. This may include information about athletes who are minors.
- Uploaded video — footage an athlete uploads for coaching review.
- Payment information — processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers; we receive limited billing details and subscription status.
- Usage and device information — basic technical data needed to operate and secure the Services.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide, personalize, and deliver individualized training and coaching feedback.
- To communicate with you about programming, scheduling, billing, and your account.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To monitor athlete readiness and safety and to improve the Services.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Athletes Who Are Minors
Athletes under 18 are enrolled by a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to our Terms and signs our New Athlete Agreement. A parent or guardian may review their athlete's information, request corrections, or request deletion by contacting us at contact@grounduppitching.com. We collect only the information reasonably needed to provide safe, effective training. The Services are intended for athletes who are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13; if we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the Services or as required by law:
- Service providers that host and power the Services under contract — for example, our application hosting, our database, authentication, and file storage provider, our payment processor (Stripe), and, where used, our video storage provider. They may process information only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety reasons — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and property of athletes, the public, or Ground Up.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
5. How We Store and Protect Information
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, including per-user access controls that limit each athlete to their own data, coach-only access to athlete records, and encryption of data in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. How Long We Keep Information
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business or legal purposes. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. You may request deletion as described below.
7. Your Choices and Rights
You may request to access, correct, or delete your information, or to opt out of non-essential marketing communications, by contacting us at contact@grounduppitching.com. For a minor athlete, a parent or guardian may make these requests. Depending on your state of residence — including if you are a California resident — you may have additional rights to know what we collect, to request deletion or correction, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information.
8. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to keep you logged in and to operate the Services securely. If we use analytics to understand and improve usage, we will do so in a manner consistent with this Policy.
9. Third-Party Links
The Services may link to third-party sites or tools that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy practices.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
